The primary mission of the East Side church of Christ is summed up in "The Great Commission" given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28: 19-20. Jesus said
to His disciples, "Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
It is our mission to carry out the great commission given by Jesus Christ to the church. It is our mission to teach the lost the gospel, and then to teach them how to live and work for Christ. Therefore, our mission statement is summarized by these three words: Evangelizing, Edifying and Equipping. |

It is our mission to Evangelize the world through the preaching and teaching of the pure gospel of Christ; to Edify those who are saved through the continued preaching and teaching of God's word, and to Equip the saved through various ministries, workshops, symposiums, etc. to do the work of ministry.
