 Faith in motion: A Ministry of the Church of Christ at East Side Austin 

At Faith in Motion, we believe that our faith is not stagnant but active, moving us to engage with and uplift our Austin community. Recognizing our dual citizenship in Heaven and on Earth (Ephesians 3:19, Philippians 3:20), we understand that our earthly journey involves both spiritual and practical needs. Inspired by the biblical call to "do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers" (Galatians 6:10), our ministry puts our faith into action by supporting individuals facing hardship right here in Austin.

Our Mission:
Our mission is to support individuals in the Austin community who face adverse circumstances and require essential personal supplies, services, or sustenance – demonstrating our faith through tangible acts of care.

Why We Are in Motion:
As followers of Christ, our faith compels us to move beyond words and into action. We see the challenges faced by our neighbors in Austin and believe that our faith calls us to respond with compassion and practical support. The members of Faith in Motion are dedicated to being the hands and feet of Jesus, actively working to alleviate burdens and share the hope that moves us.

Our Purpose in Action:
Through Faith in Motion, we aim to:
  • Mobilize Support: We actively seek out and support those in the Austin community whose social and physical needs are unmet due to their current circumstances, putting our faith into practical motion.
  • Share Practical Pathways: We are committed to sharing best practices and practical living skills that empower individuals to move forward with more excellent stability and confidence.
  • Spread the Gospel's Momentum: When opportunities arise, we seek to share the life-transforming message of the Gospel, the very foundation that moves us to serve (Matthew 28:19-20).
  • Engage Our Community Dynamically: We actively foster community involvement by providing essential living items, including food, clothing, and toiletries (with an updated list provided annually), to established community partners, organizations, and facilities – and we invite you to join us in this effort.
